Senior Project Manager - Philadelphia (Transmission/Substation)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple transmission engineering projects ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation efforts.
  • Oversee project financial performance, including revenue forecasting, backlog management, accounts receivable, and work-in-progress tracking.
  • Develop scopes of work, cost estimates, proposals, and statements of qualifications for utility clients.
  • Cook up engineering design reviews and ensure quality standards are met prior to client submission.
  • Establish project milestones and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to engineering teams and technical staff.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for additional work and new business.
  • Collaborate across departments to support company initiatives, operational improvements, and best engineering practices.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external project stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 4+ years of experience in power transmission engineering and/or project management.
  • Experience managing transmission line design projects and coordinating technical teams.
  • Understanding of overhead and underground transmission systems.
  • Familiarity with applicable industry standards, including NESC, ASCE, and IEEE.
  • Working knowledge of transmission design software and engineering tools.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience leading engineering teams, managing resources, and delegating technical work.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship within a growing engineering organization.
