About the role
We're seeking a Senior Project Manager - Permitting to lead permit-related projects in the DC, MD, and VA region. The ideal candidate will manage projects from initial filing to certificate of occupancy or completion, ensuring smooth, timely project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of permit-related projects
- Provide proactive status updates to the Manager, internal Project Management team, and clients
- Escalate issues before they become delays
- Maintain detailed project records and provide regular status updates
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, plans examiners, and internal teams
- Oversee deliverables including entitlements, timelines, and risk tracking
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and project quality standards
- Prepare reports, documentation, and milestone updates
- Serve as a mentor for other project team members
Requirements

- Experience collaborating with internal and external project teams
- Knowledge of permitting workflows, municipal codes, and development processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field
Preferred
- Experience with multi-state or national rollouts in retail, hospitality, or commercial sectors

Work Environment & Schedule
- Remote with a focus on the Mid-Atlantic Region (DC, VA, MD)
- Standard working hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30:00am – 5:00pm, minimum 40 hours/week
- Must be willing to travel for in-person submissions or meetings, when required
Compensation
- Salary range: $90,000 – $1000,000 annually, based on knowledge, skills, and experience
