About the role
Merric Millwork and Seating is a leading manufacturer in the millwork industry, expanding capabilities to include custom upholstery, metalwork, powder coating, and stone. We collaborate with clients across the country on hospitality, restaurant, sporting venue, and senior living projects.
Responsibilities
- Full project life cycle ownership from initiation to deployment
- Oversee a team of Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications
- Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
- Manage project scope and changes
- Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature capabilities for the organization
- Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
- Assist in dispute, negotiation, arbitration, or litigation, as needed
- Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues
- Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables
- Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
- Ensure projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
- Organize, manage, and plan projects with senior managers, sales, estimating, and engineering to align customer expectations with company policies and goals
Qualifications
- 7+ years' experience in project management in the construction industry
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred
- 5+ years' experience in custom architectural millwork preferred
- PMP certification or willing to complete within 3 years of employment

Physical requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
- Must be able to safely navigate a construction site
