Role Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Mechanical Construction. This key leadership role will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction projects in Albany and the greater New York State region. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, and resources, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Leading project meetings
- Cooking with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Resolving field issues
- Tracking progress against milestones
The role also involves reviewing technical documentation, supervising inspections, managing expediting activities, and optimizing logistics to maintain efficient material and equipment flow.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience as an Expeditor and in Expediting, ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and documentation.
- Proficiency in Inspection activities, quality control, and compliance with mechanical construction standards and codes.
- Strong Logistics Management skills to oversee material handling, site deliveries, and resource allocation.
- Extensive background in mechanical construction or MEP projects, with experience managing complex, multi-phase work.
- Ability to lead project teams, mentor staff, and collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and risk management.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools; familiarity with construction management platforms is beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work on-site in Albany, New York on a full-time basis.
