We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. This exciting role involves managing complex mechanical construction projects and overseeing all aspects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of mechanical building systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the entire life cycle of mechanical construction projects, from initial conception to successful completion.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Handle project procurement, including sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and contractors.
  • Manage change orders and progress reports, ensuring all changes are documented and communicated effectively.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of projects, identifying any potential issues and implementing solutions as necessary.
  • Lead and manage project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment and ensuring all team members are working towards project goals.
  • Implement strategic planning to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring all parties are kept up-to-date with project progress.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
  • Continually review and improve project management processes, implementing new strategies and technologies as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Project Management role within the mechanical construction industry.
  • Proven experience managing project costs, change orders, progress reports, and financial performance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical building systems.
  • Excellent budgeting, contract management, and procurement skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent strategic planning abilities, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
