About the role
This role is responsible for project management, leadership, profitability, and client management for the Civil/Site project design team. Projects can range from a large warehousing complex, all-star sporting arena, residential development, or planning a mixed-use establishment in a downtown business district.
Responsibilities
- Lead civil/site land development projects from planning and design through completion, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Manage project teams, workloads, deliverables, schedules, and budgets to drive successful project execution.
- Monitor project financial performance, including labor hours, costs, profitability, billing, and productivity.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing project updates and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and budget, including coordinating and securing approval for additional services.
- Oversee QA/QC and technical reviews to ensure accurate, high-quality project deliverables.
- Lead project meetings and coordinate with engineers, designers, technical staff, and department leadership.
- Support proposal development, business development, and client relationship management to help generate new and repeat business.
- Identify project challenges early and coordinate resources to develop effective technical and operational solutions.
- Mentor and develop Project Managers, engineers, designers, and junior staff in project delivery and business practices.
- Support team performance through workload planning, feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure projects and teams follow company health, safety, quality, and operating standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of site design experience
- PE license
- Knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations
- Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analyses, grading, and other site development-related designs
- Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Ability to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
Pay
$145K - $165K
