About the Role

This is a leadership opportunity for a senior geotechnical engineer who wants to play a larger role in client development, project execution, team growth, and business strategy. You will lead complex geotechnical projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients, mentoring engineers, and contributing directly to the continued growth of an established geotechnical practice. Responsibilities

  • Lead geotechnical projects from proposal through delivery.
  • Serve as a primary client contact and trusted technical advisor.
  • Oversee geotechnical investigations, engineering analyses, and technical recommendations.
  • Direct foundation, earth retention, excavation support, and ground improvement evaluations.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and financial performance.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and project teams.
  • Support business development and expansion of existing client relationships.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
  • Maintain technical excellence and quality across project deliverables.

Qualifications

  • PE license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
  • 10+ years of geotechnical consulting experience.
  • Track record managing complex geotechnical projects and client relationships.
  • Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong business development, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high technical standards.
