Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager reports to the Director and is responsible for the overall success and financial performance of assigned projects. This includes managing and overseeing all aspects related to project management, financial performance, tracking, and forecasting, scheduling, and change order management.
- Financial Acumen: full responsibility for project financials, including costs, revenue, billings, projections, margin, gains, fades, commitments, AR, AP, etc.
- Estimating and Change Orders: proficient in project estimates and change order estimates, identifying scope and scope gaps, coordinating vendor and sub quotes and scopes, and negotiating change orders with customers.
- Schedule: proficient in scheduling of work and integration with the GC’s schedule, understanding and experience with pull planning, and ability to use scheduling software (Microsoft Project, P6).
- VDC and Preconstruction: experienced with a detailed preconstruction process and VDC projects (2D and 3D modeling), prefabrication, and kitting.
- Leadership skills: identifying roles and responsibilities, strengths and weaknesses, creating feedback loops and training opportunities, and developing up-and-coming talent.
- Collaboration: regular communication with peers around the company, both inside and outside of the region.
- Process and Procedures: comfortable with a system that has documented processes and procedures for all tasks, and use of technology platforms for financials, project management, etc.
- Networking: comfortable with establishing and maintaining customer relations, understanding the balance between protecting the company and maintaining relationships with clients.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager (or 3+ years as a Senior Project Manager) over commercial electrical work, with proven experience managing electrical construction projects over $10M.

- Experience preparing take-offs and estimates for change orders.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong computer skills and quick to learn new systems.
- Commitment to continuous improvement of communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Effective scheduling and delegation to accomplish tasks on time.
- Tactful conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering, etc.) is preferred, paired with industry experience. Alternatively, an overall appropriate combination of certification(s), experience, and education (journeyman or master electrician’s license) is acceptable.

Pay
Salary: $150,000 - $215,000 per year.
