About the role

The Senior Project Manager (PM) is responsible for handling projects for transformers manufactured in our different factories that will be delivered for customers located in North America, including transportation & logistics, customer interface, scheduling, communication, and coordination of transformer equipment installations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Senior Project Manager is responsible for all Project Management activities including development of overall project schedule, project plan, communication plan, contract management, project financial performance/budget, identification/management of risk and maintaining project risk register as well as identifying and implementation of lessons learned.
  • Interact with internal partners, including multiple Siemens Energy facilities, third-party suppliers, and external customers, to ensure assigned projects are completed on time, within budget, and with high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify risks and manage/mitigate their impact on overall project success.
  • Oversee execution phase of projects from receipt of order thru end of warranty. Communicate with Siemens factories regarding warranty support, coordination of local field resources and onsite activities.
  • Communicate contract and schedule requirements to Siemens Energy factory personnel, installation supervisors and sub-contractors. Reviews sub-supplier documents to ensure compliance with project requirements (specifications, performance, cost, schedule…)
  • Helping customers and agents as required.
  • Reports generation as required.

What You Bring

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, or Project Management discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A proven track record with a minimum of 5+ years of recent experience working in a Project Management/Project Lead role. Self-driven, motivated, and possessing a strong work ethic.
  • Customer-focused, with a collaborative mindset and a proven ability to multitask and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, frequently under internal and/or external time constraints.
  • Ability to work well in teams interacting routinely with finance, marketing, and field service operations to achieve a common goal.
  • Has a clear understanding of the sold product (reviews, understands, and ensures compliance with required contract documents including commercial and technical specifications, scope, schedule, and performance requirements).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Project management certification a plus; eventual certification will be a requirement.
  • Ability to travel domestic and international as required (approximately 10% to 15% of the time)
