About the role
Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee innovative tenant improvement and interior fit-out construction projects for a key technology client. This role involves interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages and will be onsite 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Financial management, including ensuring prompt client invoicing and monitoring a project’s financial status using financial systems.
- Project planning, including producing detailed project plans.
- Monitoring and applying performance management techniques.
- Managing the change control process.
- Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client through regular meetings and written communications.
- Preparing formal project budget progress and other reports.
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards (Quality Control).
- Working to construct proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.
- Identifying opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates, and products, and referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.
- Identifying and ensuring the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health, and environment issues.
- Establishing effective project governance, processes, and systems to be utilized throughout the project.
- Discharging general line management responsibilities (where appropriate) effectively.
- Advising at a strategic level during the project conception stage, including providing advice on different approaches to achieve the client’s objectives.
- Identifying business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities.
- Effectively sharing and retaining key information and data.
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to work onsite full-time, 5 days per week.
- Ability to advise at a strategic level during the project conception stage.
- Great time management skills to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
- Experience working as an effective team member within the context of delivering a specific commission.
Qualifications
- College degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- PMP certification.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations.
- Construction project management experience and the ability to be highly effective in a client-facing role.
- Experience managing demanding stakeholders and workstream managers.
- Experience managing commercial real estate or relatable construction projects.
- Tenant Improvement and Fitout experience with Commercial Real Estate projects is required.
Pay
The salary range for this full-time role is $150,000–$180,000 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent base salary only. Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s location, experience, and qualifications.
