About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a large project or multiple project efforts within the Mission Critical Industry. This role involves managing and coordinating the design, procurement, implementation, and commissioning phases of projects valued from $50K to $3.0M+, including subcontractors, high dollar value material content, and multiple resources. You will ensure the commercial, financial, and technical success of projects while aligning with client goals and exceeding expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Proposal Development – Participate in proposal scope, schedule, and cost estimates, as well as Project Management methodology and project pricing and structure. Prepare for a successful handoff from Business Development.
  • Manage Client Communication – Ensure effective communication between the client, project team, Business Development, and management at all project phases. Resolve scope, schedule, and cost issues as they arise.
  • Project Schedule and Plan – Develop the project labor resource plan and procurement plan to meet the client’s schedule objective and project cash flow requirements.
  • Drive Scope – Maintain firm control of scope and compliance with specifications and contract requirements. Ensure scope is well-defined and communicated, proactively obtain required Change Orders, and identify additional scope opportunities.
  • Maintain Cost – Develop and maintain project cost budgets and reports; manage estimated cost at completion, earned value, and contingency. Forecast monthly project costs to avoid overruns.
  • Lead the Project Team – Guide the project team in achieving tasks and milestones on schedule and under budget. Work closely with the Operations group to assign the right resources at the optimal time. Communicate project progress to the team and client while advocating for the project team. Identify and mitigate project risks in advance.
  • Present regular project activity and financial updates to large audiences, including customers and internal management/executives.
  • Become proficient in E TECH GROUP’s PMO Methods, Tools, and Processes specific to project management standards.
  • Participate in the implementation of new project management tools across the enterprise.
  • Develop a strong understanding of E TECH GROUP’s Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) Stages.

Requirements

  • BS Engineering degree or equivalent education/experience background.
  • At least 5 years of dedicated project management experience or 5+ years in a project engineering environment.
  • Proficient in project management principles, methods, and tools.
  • Ability to implement Project Management Institute (PMI) based standards into the company culture and mentor other associates.
  • Proven project leadership on difficult projects, applications, solutions, and situations.
  • Proven performance in a stressful environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to utilize technology to lead geographically dispersed project teams.
  • Experience managing contracts and/or subcontractors.
  • Experienced in the use of project management software such as MS Project.
  • Familiarity with industrial controls projects.
  • Experience with project budget/fiscal accountability.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Controls Engineering background.
  • Experience with true design projects (EOR).
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience managing control system, HMI, plant data historian, and other industrial projects.

Pay

$140K - $165K
