About the Role

The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of hospitality and commercial construction projects, including hotels, boutique properties, and restaurant builds. This role requires a seasoned construction leader who can manage complex projects from preconstruction through closeout, align teams around aggressive schedules, and ensure high-end finishes that meet brand standards and ownership expectations.

Our client is a close-knit midsize general contractor in the Los Angeles Area. They have been around for almost 5 decades and created a very reputable name for themselves. They specialize in ground-up Commercial, Healthcare, Education and more project types. Projects are typically in the $1-20 Mil range. They are looking to grow more into the Commercial market and want a senior leader to join their team to help with the expansion. This is an opportunity where your voice will be heard and get to sit in with senior leadership and directly assist with the growth of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project management team and manage the day-to-day operations
  • Ability to make decisions that consider both schedule and budgets
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors
  • Manage scope review process
  • Negotiate change orders
  • Manage permit and occupancy with government agencies
  • Manage and update budgets
  • Conduct regular status meetings with project team
  • Deliver projects on time and within company profit targets

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years as a Project Manager with a General Contractor
  • Bachelor's Degree (Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management is plus)
  • Hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or high-end interior project experience strongly preferred
  • Proven leadership of project teams, including Superintendents and PM staff
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor buyout
  • Experience managing fast-paced, quality-driven projects
  • Excellent client-facing, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong financial and cost-control acumen
  • OSHA certification preferred

  • Base salary range of $180K-$210K depending on experience

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with a General Contractor
  • Conceptual Estimating experience
  • Communication skills and can wear many hats
  • Microsoft Suite Software Proficient
