Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Active Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
  • 8+ years of experience managing civil land development projects from planning through construction
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary project teams and mentoring engineering professionals
  • Strong understanding of land development design principles, permitting processes, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to develop project scopes, fee proposals, budgets, schedules, and manage project financial performance
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and other engineering design software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality, accuracy, and client satisfaction

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of civil land development projects from proposal development through project closeout
  • Develop project scopes, fee proposals, budgets, schedules, and resource plans to ensure successful project execution
  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and technical excellence throughout project delivery
  • Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary project teams, assigning work, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of project milestones
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineering staff, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
  • Serve as the Engineer of Record, preparing and reviewing engineering plans, calculations, reports, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Ensure all projects comply with applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and permitting requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building long-term relationships through proactive communication and responsive service
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to support operational initiatives, continuous improvement, and strategic growth
  • Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and client-focused project delivery
