Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager at Valor Contracting is responsible for planning and leading key industrial projects from inception to completion. This role oversees project management, compliance, and closeout processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and meeting or exceeding project expectations.

Responsibilities

• Direct high-profile project meetings and manage complex stakeholder interactions.
• Resolve major project issues to ensure project continuity.
• Lead the development of high-level project strategies and plans.
• Cook up and manage large-scale project budgets and financial planning.
• Implement cost control measures and oversee financial reporting.
• Manage subcontractor relationships on multiple large projects.
• Negotiate major contracts and resolve high-impact subcontractor issues.
• Direct the project closeout process and manage client relationships.
• Ensure thorough completion of all project requirements and post-construction support.
• Review and address safety performance and incidents.
• Attend all required safety trainings and meetings.
• Motivate and mentor the project management and project engineering team.
• Drive organizational change and improvement within the construction department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
• 10+ years of industrial construction experience, showing progressive growth in or toward a project management role.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
