Senior Project Manager

With about 350 employees, Plant meets the standard of its slogan “The Finest Construction Services, Efficiently Performed, Delivered on Schedule.” The company seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its Silicon Valley Office team, requiring extensive Bay Area business knowledge, strong communication and IT skills, demonstrated leadership, and at least 10 years of prior experience managing challenging projects.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre‑construction activities as needed
• Act as liaison with the client, architect, consultants, and the Department of Building Inspection
• Interface with site supervisors; look for and implement innovative construction methods
• Prepare and maintain project schedules
• Prepare project documents – client change orders, subcontracts, subcontractor change orders, meeting minutes, letters, memorandums, notices, etc.
• Provide assistance coordinating with onsite contractors in planning and coordinating the stages of connecting new systems with existing utility systems
• Control and monitor subcontractors and monitor their performance
• Manage cost changes, track legitimate change orders requests, compile fair pricing for work and forecast financial results accurately
• Review and expedite submittals and materials
• Monitor critical material items and deliveries
• Maintain quality control and production efficiency
• Maintain immediate and direct responsibility for production phases of the project; resolve production problems
• Oversee that jobsite safety procedures are being followed
• Provide feedback on production costs to the Estimating Department

Requirements

• Extensive Bay Area business knowledge and experience
• Strong communication and IT skills
• Demonstrated leadership
• Minimum of ten years construction‑related experience overseeing projects valuing $50M to $200M
• Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor college degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture is required (advanced degree or training favored)

Skills

• Required software: MS Project or Primavera 6 (project scheduling); Sage Timberline Estimating and Procore (construction management); MS Office proficiency; On‑Screen Takeoff (construction estimating and takeoff); Precision (estimating software); Microsoft 365 – Outlook and cloud‑based productivity suite (e.g., MS Teams); Bluebeam (PDF markup and collaboration); DocuSign (electronic signature); Zoom (online video communication)
• Preferred software: AutoCAD (schematic design, presentations, project layout); BIM (clash detection); V‑Planner (production planning, supports Last Planner® System workflows)

Pay

Salary Range: $180,000 to $210,000+
