Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Acting as the central point of contact, this role facilitates communication between internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Operations) and external stakeholders (General Contractors, vendors).
Key Responsibilities
Monitor project budgets closely and submit monthly re-estimates.
Identify and address cost variances related to materials, labor, and equipment.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of change orders and billable claims.
Oversee job billing and follow up on collections and problem accounts.
Project Oversight
Serve as Project Executive on one or more projects.
Support Project Managers and Project Coordinators in problem-solving and process optimization.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure project alignment.
Advocate for Pioneer’s scope and defend against unauthorized work requests.
Procurement
Supervise material take-offs and vendor bidding processes.
Evaluate vendor proposals for cost-effectiveness and schedule compliance.
Ensure timely and budget-conscious material purchasing.
Reporting
Maintain complete and accurate project documentation.
Provide regular updates and reports during monthly project reviews.
Scheduling
Develop efficient and cost-effective project plans.
Manage vendor schedules and scopes to align with project timelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 9 years of experience with custom curtain wall systems, unitized wall systems, structural glass wall systems, or architectural metal panels.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Must carry insurance as outlined in the Company Driver Policy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with MS Project or similar project management software.
Travel required based on project needs.
