About the role

You will direct all project phases—engineering (basic and detailed), procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning/start-up—while maintaining a strategic focus for the project. This includes frequent interaction with the business area and the client to balance immediate project needs with the company’s long-term goals.

In this role, you will manage project execution with a focus on maintaining or improving the as-sold profit level. You will ensure the right product is developed and delivered to meet the company’s quality standards and contract requirements. Utilizing project management methodologies, systems, and tools as defined, you will comply with company rules, policies, and professional practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Project Teams and facilitate communication and interaction among functional representatives.
  • Track project progress against its schedule, budget, and phase gate review objectives, reporting status to management, customers, and executive staff as needed.
  • Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated occurrences.
  • Coach the Project Team to achieve project goals and manage the project budget and expenses effectively.
  • Provide feedback on employee performance to functional managers for record-keeping.
  • Maintain awareness of safety and environmental requirements.
  • Negotiate differences with clients and internal personnel to meet project goals.
  • Review and approve key project documents, including P&IDs, Plot Plans, and Operating Manuals.
  • Work with the Project Compliance Engineer to prepare for and conduct project gate meetings at appropriate phases.

Requirements

  • BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of industrial-related project management experience, preferably in an EPC environment.
  • General understanding of contract administration, business principles, and business law.
  • Broad understanding of each engineering discipline.
  • Effective management and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, Lotus Notes, and other company and discipline-specific software applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with management, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct by demonstrating honesty, integrity, professionalism in all communications, actions, and decisions.

Pay

Salary pay range: $140,000 – $170,000 USD.
