Description In house position: Not Hybrid or Remote Pay range: $105,000 - $130,000 Annually Hours: M-F - 7:30 - 4:30 Role Description The Senior Project Manager (PM) manages multiple projects simultaneously delivering customer power distribution projects on time and under budget. The role is effective in driving projects across various electro-mechanical product categories such as switchboards, docking stations, panelboards, and medium voltage switchgear. The Sr PM role is a dynamic communicator that proactively solves problems, facilitates cross functional collaboration, and thrives in high paced technical environments. Sr PMs are highly responsive, proactive communicators, and relationship builders capable of representing both the Voice of the Customer and Kratos simultaneously. The ideal candidate has experience in technical role(s) prior to moving into project management. Key performance indicators associated with this role include but are not limited to on-time delivery, customer satisfaction and profitability. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Milestone Management Develop and maintain high-level and detailed milestone schedules in Click Up for all assigned projectsCollaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Ops to align on scope, deliverables, and timeline expectations early stage discussions through completionFacilitate internal and customer-facing kickoff meetings to set expectationsOwn the development and communication of milestone updates and recovery plans proactively Cross-Functional Coordination Ensure each department (Sales, ENG, Purchasing, Fab, Assembly, Quality, Shipping, Field Service) understands and commits to their project milestonesDrive accountability across teams for updating and completing assigned tasks on scheduleTrack and escalate risks to schedule, cost, or scope; drive resolution through clear action plans Communication & Reporting Demonstrates full command of project timelines, tasks, and timelines leverage through weekly/biweekly updates to both internal and external customers independentlyAbility to adjust communication style and method to match needs of demanding customers – phone calls vs emails, bullet points, gantt charts, etc. Maintain change order tracking and ensure that impacts to scope or timeline are properly communicated and reflected in the milestone plan and all systems Process Execution & Documentation Coordinate job setup in ERP (JobBoss, SAP, etc.) and project management tools (ClickUp) upon project award and maintain data in all systems with 100% accuracyDrive consistent use and resolution of RFIs, submittal redlines, and approval workflows in Engineering.Maintain proper documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including RFIs, closeout packages and shipping coordination Budget Tracking and Profitability Demonstrated ownership of project cost control providing organizational visibility Works cross functionally to drive business case corrective action discussion through project lifecycle Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on estimating accuracy and cost forecasting assumptions Cross Functional Collaboration Sales: timelines, scope changes, change order processes, order acknowledgements Engineering: meeting cadence, RFI logs and resolution, submittals Purchasing: handoffs, market lead times integration w/ project plan Fabrication & Inventory: prioritization, due dates, special requirements, late-stage needs Production & Quality: customer requirements, Shipping & Closeout: customer contacts, special shipping requirements, etc Qualifications Required 8+ years of experience in project management, operations planning, or production systems Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Eng, Ops, etc.), Business, or Project Management discipline (12+ years relevant technical experience alternatively considered)Understanding of sheet metal fabrication and/or assembly operationsProven expertise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with demonstrated success leading high-performing project teamsProactive mindset with very strong and adaptable communication skills both verbal and writtenStrong command of PM toolkit – timelines, gantt charts, cost control, MS Suite, ERP Preferred Able to read and understand mechanical and/or electrical drawings and project specifications Experience with switchgear, electrical, electro-mechanical manufacturing Benefits Kratos Industries provides employees with legally mandated benefits, such as Workers Compensation and Unemployment Insurance. Performance Bonus You will be eligible to receive a discretionary (i.e., non-guaranteed) annual bonus based on personal and company performance and goals achieved. PTO You will receive PTO effective on your Start Date. That can be utilized after 60 days of continuous employment. PTO may be used for holidays, vacation, personal leave, or sick leave and requires manager approval in advance.
