Senior Project Manager
About This Role
The Senior Project Manager for Kidde Residential Fire is responsible for leading projects and cross-functional initiatives that deliver new products, product improvements, sustaining activities, productivity initiatives, and business process outcomes. This role translates business and product objectives into disciplined execution, ensures strong cross-functional alignment, and drives accountability to meet schedule, cost, quality, and business commitments across the project lifecycle.
This position primarily supports Sustaining & Productivity initiatives, leading cross-functional teams through product lifecycle management, compliance updates, component transitions, cost reduction, supplier changes, and operational improvement projects. The Senior Project Manager partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Compliance, and Product Management to ensure business continuity, product availability, operational efficiency, and long-term portfolio health. This role is expected to drive execution across multiple initiatives, proactively manage risks and dependencies, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and provide visibility into project performance, issues, and decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute product, sustaining, productivity, and business process initiatives from definition through delivery
- Drive accountability across Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing, Compliance, and Finance partners as appropriate
- Facilitate alignment, decision-making, and issue resolution across stakeholders
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment focused on achieving project objectives
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, dependency maps, and resource requirements across multiple projects and initiatives
- Monitor critical path activities and drive actions needed to maintain project commitments
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, tradeoffs, constraints, and resource gaps; lead mitigation plans to protect delivery commitments and business objectives
- Escalate issues in a timely manner and provide recommendations to support decision-making and resolution
- Lead key milestone deliverables and support phase-gate, governance, and project review processes
- Maintain project reporting, action tracking, decision logs, and clear escalation paths
- Ensure projects remain aligned to approved scope, priorities, and business objectives
- Apply PMO processes, tools, and standards consistently across assigned projects
- Identify process gaps and lead improvement initiatives that enhance project execution, operational efficiency, product quality, or business performance
- Support adoption of PMO best practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvement activities
- Communicate clearly and proactively with leadership and stakeholders regarding project status, risks, dependencies, decisions, and business impacts
- Provide concise, actionable updates and recommendations that enable informed decision-making, alignment, and timely issue resolution

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of PMO, program management, or project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple projects or programs simultaneously
- Strong cross-functional leadership in matrixed organizations
- Experience working with domestic and global manufacturing partners
- Experience supporting product development, sustaining engineering, productivity, operational improvement, or business transformation initiatives
- PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification
Compensation and Benefits
Individuals may be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company's performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.

$98,532 – $115,920 per year
