Core Responsibilities
- Manages all activities associated with the construction of an assigned project.
- Manages multiple projects of significant impact.
- Manages group of project managers, coordinators and administrators and act as lead mentor to other members of project management team.
- Ensures that all contractual terms and obligations of such projects are maintained.
- Ensures projects meet cost requirements.
- Makes sure projects stay within budget and obtains permission for out-of-budget costs.
- Ensures proper accounting for project change orders.
- Interfaces with necessary departments to determine the scheduling of work and materials.
- Meets with customers and vendors to identify potential barriers and resolve issues.
- Visits job sites as needed and required.
- Prepares reports for management.
- Makes sure key personnel are kept informed about project progress.
- Verifies accuracy and completeness of all construction drawings.
- Determines proper procedures to accomplish company/dept goals.
- Ensures all aspects of projects are properly documented to protect GrayWolf's interests.

Education/Training
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Structural/Civil Engineering, or Business may substitute for 3 years of the required experience.
- 10-15 years related experience as a Project/Construction Manager in the structural steel industry or 5 years related experience as a Project Coordinator/Engineer or Asst Proj Mgr along with 3 years detailing/drafting.
- Experience as a fabricator or erector may substitute for detailing/drafting exp.
Specialized Knowledge
- Demonstrated knowledge of the fabrication and erection of structural steel.
- Proven ability to read and interpret shop and design blueprint drawings.
- Proven ability to manage large multiple commercial and industrial projects.
- General knowledge of 3D modeling / Tekla practices.
