Senior Project Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field (MBA or PMP certification is a plus).
  • 5 – 10+ years of experience managing complex industrial projects, preferably in capital equipment, machinery, or heavy manufacturing industries.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and installation challenges.
  • Prioritization of cross-functional teams and management of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of CAD (Autodesk products) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent) and ERP systems.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, site visits, and equipment commissioning.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
  • Solid “Value Focused” customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate objectivity, professionalism, integrity, and honesty in dealing with people at all levels and facilitates an environment for open and honest discussion.

Qualifications

Manage the full project lifecycle for capital equipment orders, including design, manufacturing, shipping, installation, and commissioning.

Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and customers throughout the project.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress and take corrective action as needed.

Maintain detailed project documentation and reporting using project management tools.

Responsibilities

Lead project kickoff meetings, design reviews, and regular status updates with stakeholders.

Identify and manage project risks and develop mitigation plans.

Ensure all customer requirements and contractual obligations are met.

Support project financial performance through cost tracking, change management, and invoicing milestones.

Drive continuous improvement in project execution processes and tools.

Fully support the Company’s ISO objectives, policies, procedures, and the GK WAY program.
