Senior Project Manager

About the role

This role combines assessment and remedial technical expertise with project management and personnel management skills, providing an opportunity to lead projects and collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities

• Be the senior manager on a portfolio of environmental projects.
• Serve as the final technical review authority on reports and budgets.
• Manage team of project managers and junior staff.
• Communicate with clients and regulatory agencies (CDLE-OPS and CDPHE).
• Oversee site assessments, remediation design and implementation, and ongoing monitoring.
• Ensure projects and clients maintain compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Review and analyze environmental data and complete final review of technical reports and budgets.
• Stay educated on changing regulations within the industry.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and other key stakeholders.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and resolutions effectively.
• Provide guidance and support to junior scientists, geologists, and project staff.
• Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes career development.
• Prepare proposals and estimates.
• Support miscellaneous projects, including Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments and Brownfields redevelopment projects.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of CDLE-OPS requirements.
• Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer, OSHA 40.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
