About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee project delivery and deployment, ensuring projects are organized, monitored, and completed on time. This role involves managing project plans, schedules, budgets, and expenditures, as well as coordinating stakeholder meetings. The Senior Project Manager will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to timelines, scope, and budget, acquiring resources and coordinating team members and third-party contractors to deliver projects successfully. You will work with Solacom Business Partners to define project objectives and oversee delivery and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manage medium to large-scale projects, including multiple assignments in parallel to ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee Telecom and IT Infrastructure projects of varying complexity and size.
  • Execute project management policies, guidelines, and program parameters.
  • Determine, establish, track, and manage project schedules, timing, and resource allocation to meet targets.
  • Coordinate project prioritization to align with corporate strategies.
  • Report and monitor project budgets and statuses.
  • Resolve problems and manage escalations.
  • Conduct project status meetings.
  • Perform root cause analysis, issues management, and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain regular communication among organization leaders.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and manage Project Charters, Project Plans, Schedules, and Risk Management Plans.
  • Oversee overall project budgets.
  • Manage integration and alignment of internal and external resource schedules.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Project Management, with direct experience managing customer projects as a Delivery/Deployment Project Manager.
  • Understanding of ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) infrastructure requirements, including:
    • Networking and telecommunications
    • Hardware, operating systems, and applications
    • Information and systems security
    • Business risk and continuity planning
  • Ability to work in a controlled PMO structure with defined processes.
  • PMP or CAPM certification preferred (a certificate in PM will be considered for candidates with excellent track records).
  • Experience in a customer-facing role with excellent presentation and listening skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills, interacting with a wide range of IT and management professionals, including executives.
  • Proficient communication at all levels within an organization.
  • Extremely organized, with the ability to track, manage, and resolve issues across multiple activities.
  • Ability to proactively identify and implement risk mitigation and issue resolution strategies.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and process-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • General knowledge of data center technologies, Telecom, and IP networks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including MS Project, JIRA, and Smartsheet.
  • High degree of tenacity and persistence to complete tasks on schedule.
  • Ability to deal with change, learn new technologies and processes, and adapt priorities.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to implement management systems.
  • Ability to build consensus across different internal and external groups.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in technology or equivalent, or a bachelor's degree in a related field of study.

This position requires compliance with Comtech’s Drug-Free Workplace Program. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening as a condition of hire. Employees may be subject to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-incident testing. Illegal drug use, including marijuana, is disqualifying under federal adjudicative guidelines and DoD DFARS requirements.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $99,000 - $135,000 USD. Final compensation will be based on role, level, skills, experience, and geographic location.
