Responsibilities
- Leading Projects and People at a High Level: Oversee multiple commercial construction projects or large, complex builds from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring alignment across scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
- Providing Leadership to Project Teams and Field Staff: Drive consistency and performance across projects.
- Ensuring Documentation, Communication, and Execution Meet a High Standard: Ensure documentation, communication, and execution meet a high standard.
- Owning Financial Performance and Strategy: Take full ownership of financial outcomes, driving accuracy in forecasting and accountability across project teams.
- Overseeing Budgets, Forecasts, and Cost Control Across Projects: Lead change management strategy and approvals.
- Identifying Financial Risks Early and Implementing Mitigation Plans: Identify financial risks early and implement mitigation plans.
- Setting the Standard with Subcontractors and Teams: Establish expectations, hold teams accountable, and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
- Ensuring Work Consistently Meets Project Specifications and Company Standards: Address challenges decisively and constructively.
- Building and Maintaining Strong, Professional Relationships: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships.
- Proactively Managing Risk and Driving Decisions: Lead with data, experience, and foresight to prevent issues before they impact the project.
- Maintaining High Standards of Quality, Safety, and Compliance: Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
- Anticipating and Mitigating Risks Across Projects: Anticipate and mitigate risks across projects.
- Escalating and Resolving Issues with Urgency and Clarity: Escalate and resolve issues with urgency and clarity.
- Mentoring and Developing Talent: Play a key role in developing Project Managers, Project Engineers, and emerging leaders.
- Providing Guidance, Coaching, and Support to Team Members: Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members.
- Promoting Consistency in Processes and Execution: Promote consistency in processes and execution.
- Contributing to Building a Strong, High-Performing Team: Contribute to building a strong, high-performing team.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience
- Proven experience leading large or multiple projects
- Strong understanding of scheduling, cost control, procurement, and documentation
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software (P6 or MS Project)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
- OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
