Senior Project Manager

About the role

Join a large biotech pharmaceutical leader as a Project Manager Senior leading technology transfer and new product introduction programs across the drug substance manufacturing network. This role will oversee cross-functional execution, support commercialization readiness, and coordinate internal teams and external CDMO partners to ensure reliable delivery of clinical and commercial drug supply. The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience, drug substance manufacturing knowledge, and the ability to drive digital innovation using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet, Jira, SAP, Veeva, LIMS, MES, and related platforms to improve visibility, risk management, and execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product introduction and technology transfer activities for drug substance manufacturing from development through commercial implementation
• Serve as the primary program lead across internal teams and external CDMO networks
• Develop and execute technology transfer strategies, integrated plans, schedules, and governance frameworks
• Drive project deliverables in alignment with milestones, budgets, timelines, and business objectives
• Facilitate issue resolution, decision-making, and project schedule alignment
• Manage multiple high-priority technology transfer and manufacturing programs simultaneously
• Build integrated project plans with clear deliverables, dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies
• Provide executive-level updates on project progress, risks, resource needs, and key decisions
• Implement digital solutions using data analytics, automation, dashboards, and reporting tools
• Support standardization, automation, compliance, and data governance across technology transfer processes
• Lead complex technology transfer and new product introduction projects within global manufacturing and CDMO networks
• Coordinate communications, strategies, and execution across cross-functional teams
• Develop and implement project strategies, plans, stage-gate deliverables, and governance frameworks
• Build and maintain integrated project plans, status dashboards, and risk registers
• Drive solutions using Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet, Jira, SAP, Veeva, LIMS, MES, and related platforms
• Facilitate meetings, support timely decision-making, and promote data integrity and compliance
• Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and resource needs
• Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders

Requirements

• At least 2 years of direct experience in peptide drug substance manufacturing
• Strong understanding of cGMP manufacturing and global regulatory requirements
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects involving project schedules, risk registers, executive communications, and external CMOs
• Experience managing multiple technology transfers and manufacturing programs simultaneously
• Minimum 2 years of experience using data visualization, project management, and AI-enabled tools
• Strong project management skills with ability to coordinate internal teams and external partners
• Ability to translate technical, operational, and business priorities into actionable project plans
• Strong communication skills with ability to engage executives, technical teams, and CDMO partners
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to support decisions, risk management, and execution

Pay

$48/$54 per hour (based on experience)
