About the role
Location: Project Sites (US) + local office support. This is a full-time, site-based role requiring at least 50% on-site presence. You will report to the PMO Manager.
Responsibilities
- Full end-to-end ownership of project execution.
- Management of contractual obligations, milestones, and deliverables.
- Development and maintenance of project execution strategies and integrated schedules.
- Financial management of the project including budget monitoring, cash flow, forecasting, and margin protection.
- Coordination of all internal functions and external stakeholders.
- Customer relationship management and executive-level communication.
- Risk and opportunity management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Management of variations, claims, and change orders.
- Governance of project reporting and performance measurement.
- Leadership of project reviews and steering meetings.
- Final project close-out and lessons learned activities.
Governance Responsibilities
- Act as the integrator of all project disciplines, ensuring alignment to project objectives and contractual requirements.
- Accountable for maintaining an integrated view of project execution and driving timely decisions when conflicts arise between schedule, cost, quality, or technical priorities.
Commercial & Contract Administration
- Manage customer contracts throughout execution.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Identify and manage commercial risks.
- Lead change management processes.
- Support preparation and negotiation of claims.
- Protect project profitability and cash collection.
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and Executive Management on contractual matters.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Provide strong leadership across multifunctional teams and create a collaborative project culture.
- Emphasize stakeholder management, communication, transparency, and proactive problem-solving.
- Regularly interface with customer project executives, EPC Contractors, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and senior internal management.
Project Controls & Performance Management
- Monitor KPIs and project health indicators.
- Drive schedule performance and recovery plans.
- Review cost forecasts and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
- Govern project balance sheet and cash flow.
- Monitor resource utilization.
- Lead risk reviews and mitigation plans.
- Ensure accuracy of project reporting.
- Support PMO governance processes and stage-gate reviews.
Requirements
- Engineering degree with a strong technical foundation.
- Over 10 years of proven Project Management experience delivering large-scale industrial, energy, EPC, process plant, machinery, and infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Strong expertise in contract administration, procurement, project controls, commissioning, and project execution.
- Proficient in SAP/ERP systems, Microsoft Project, Power BI, document management systems, and project reporting platforms.
- Skilled in leveraging digital tools and data analytics to enhance project visibility, forecasting accuracy, and decision-making.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and resources while maintaining focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in cost control, contract negotiations, and commercial management.
- Effective leader recognized for strategic thinking, problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and executive reporting skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Experienced in risk identification, mitigation planning, and proactive issue resolution to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Highly organized with exceptional planning, decision-making, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Customer-focused professional committed to delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Fluent in English.
