About us
We are partnering with a well-established and growing affordable housing developer seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of multifamily developments, with a strong focus on LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) projects. This individual will play a key role in managing projects from pre-development through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of affordable housing developments, with a primary focus on LIHTC projects
- Oversee project feasibility, entitlements, financing coordination, design development, and construction
- Work closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and reporting requirements
- Coordinate with finance teams on LIHTC applications, closings, and compliance requirements
- Monitor construction progress and resolve issues to keep projects on track
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, including local/state housing agencies and LIHTC compliance
- Support the acquisition and due diligence process as needed
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in affordable housing development
- Proven experience managing LIHTC projects (ground-up or substantial rehab)
- Strong understanding of the LIHTC financing process, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Experience working with public agencies, tax credit investors, and funding partners
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mixed-finance or mixed-income developments
- Exposure to additional funding sources (HOME, CDBG, bonds, etc.)
- Background working with nonprofit or mission-driven housing organizations

Pay
$130,000 - $170,000 per year
