Senior Project Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description

• Manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects
• Interact directly with clients and manage project budgets
• Capture and analyze data through field activities, including:
• Logging borings, test pits, trenches, and cores
• Evaluating geologic and seismic hazards
• Performing forensic evaluations of distressed structures and failed slopes
• Perform engineering analyses, including:
• Foundation design and evaluation
• Slope stability analysis
• Settlement analysis
• Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and technical reports
• Provide technical support and mentorship to staff engineers, geologists, and field technicians

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required; M.S. in related field preferred
• Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting
• License: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Skills: Familiarity with local engineering practices and Austin-area projects preferred; detail-oriented, team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
