Senior Project Geo Tech Engineers in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky

Responsibilities

• Responsible for completing the project as per its contracted scope; monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
• Troubleshoot and recommend or resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
• Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
• Effectively communicate with the client and deliver work products to satisfaction of client.
• Developing field exploration and laboratory testing plans for geotechnical engineering investigations.
• May be responsible for resource management, project scheduling, budgets and forecasts, and working with external vendors, subcontractors or contractors.
• Preparing proposals for geotechnical engineering services.
• Conducts meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project to project team and client.
• Coinciding with various other consultants including civil engineers, structural engineers, architects, and construction managers.
• Research, engineering analysis and preparation of geotechnical engineering reports.
• Tracking budgets and schedule to ensure project requirements are met.
• Reviewing foundation plans and grading plans for conformance with geotechnical engineering investigation reports.
• Collaborating with various other consultants including civil engineers, structural engineers, architects, and construction managers.
• Understanding and working familiarity with computer programs, geotechnical engineering software and databases as required.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer, PEBS in Civil Engineering.
• MS with a Geotechnical Engineering focus strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of experience.
• Educational emphasis on Soils Mechanics, Foundations, Geotechnical Engineering and Civil Engineering.
• Professional level written, and oral communications skills are necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to listen, learn and communicate at highest levels.
