About the role

As the Senior Project Engineering Manager for Water & Wastewater, you will lead the engineering component of multiple traditional, design-build, design-bid-build, and collaborative delivery projects including advanced treatment facilities, underground conveyance, and carbon neutral solutions. You will oversee a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians on high-profile municipal projects, supervise and mentor staff, manage budgets, schedules, and client communications, and ensure project deliverables are met.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple or mega projects
  • Conduct research to develop equipment and material recommendations
  • Oversee collection of data and management of engineering work
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines
  • Lead larger production teams, coordinate multiple discipline activities, and serve as the responsible charge for complex projects
  • Establish a workplan to be applied to a project
  • Identify key client interests and drivers for highly complex projects
  • Communicate client concerns to project team members and develop solutions
  • Manage project changes directly with the client with Project Management
  • Lead large multi-discipline teams to meet project deliverables
  • Serve as technical leader for complex water and wastewater treatment projects
  • Drive solutions to achieve project goals
  • Support the chief engineer and support discipline-specific engineering processes
  • Reviews lower-level engineering work or assignments
  • Hiring, mentoring, performance management and pay administration of assigned personnel

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program
  • Minimum of 11 years related work experience

Qualifications

  • PE license
  • Previous engineering consulting experience
  • Experience executing complex multi-discipline WTP and WWTP upgrades and expansion projects

Skills

  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team members
  • Proficient in managing budgets, schedules, and quality requirements
  • Experience with advanced treatment facilities and underground conveyance projects
  • Knowledge of carbon neutral solutions and sustainable infrastructure

Pay

Salary range is determined based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
