Senior Project Engineer- Water/Wastewater Treatment
About the role
Join our Water business unit and help deliver innovative solutions that provide clean water to communities. This position can be filled in one of our ms offices or remotely in the Eastern Standard Time Zone. You will work on design projects for water and wastewater treatment plants, water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, and stormwater solutions, collaborating with various team members across the company.
Responsibilities
- Collect and review data, perform calculations, and prepare contract documents to assist with design.
- Assist project team staff on preliminary and final design documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit.
- Assist with preparation of preliminary engineering design reports or studies.
- Work on design projects involving treatment process and hydraulic analysis, equipment selection, and layout for water or wastewater treatment facilities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred or obtain within 12 months of hire.
- Water/wastewater treatment experience.
Skills
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit is preferred.
- Experience with process modeling software is preferred.
- Familiarity with federal and state environmental rules and regulations.
- Able to work both individually and in a collaborative, matrixed team environment.
- Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
