Senior Project Engineer- Los Angeles
About the role
RAM Construction is a leading Commercial General Contractor specializing in tenant improvements, ground-up construction, and retrofits to existing buildings. Our expertise spans various sectors including healthcare, education, life science, corporate office (both tenant and landlord), co-working/creative office, entertainment, industrial, and retail and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Aid in on-site management to ensure project execution success.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks before occurrence.
- Maintain and review daily superintendent reports.
- Ensure the project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines.
- Assist the project manager as needed with material procurement, tracking, RFI's, submittals, etc.
- Process owner and subcontractor change orders.
- Organize and facilitate weekly Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings.
- Help train or mentor other RAM employees and lead by example.
- Continuously seek ways to improve RAM Construction processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer in Commercial Construction Projects.
- Commercial Tenant Improvements (TI) experience required.
- OSHPD and/or Medical Office Building experience preferred.
- Proficiency in reading drawings and understanding constructability of projects.
- Strong ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of Construction document control, RFI's, and submittal processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, & Outlook).
- Experience with Microsoft Project a plus.
- Experience with Procore a plus.
- Familiarity with California labor laws and OSHA regulations.

Schedule
7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to sit for long periods, stand, talk, and hear both in person and by telephone. Occasional lifting up to twenty-five pounds. Must have the ability to walk up and down stairs several times a day.
