Senior Project Engineer Fayetteville, NC | $100,000 to $130,000 Per Year, Plus Bonus This company is hiring a Senior Project Engineer to serve as a key member of the Engineering team, analyzing data and designing implementation plans that optimize production processes to maximize efficiency, eliminate waste, and reduce operating costs. This role leads a small team on medium to large scale projects, or takes charge of a critical portion of a more complex initiative. Schedule Full time, with travel to other locations approximately 50% of the time. Compensation $100,000 to $130,000 per year, plus bonus. What You'll Do The Senior Project Engineer develops engineering designs, material specifications, and project cost estimates, and conducts feasibility studies and research to support design choices. This person ensures designs meet required standards and codes, validates field work, and creates as built drawings. The role includes reviewing engineering submissions for accuracy and compliance, coordinating project activities with vendors, contractors, and plant teams to stay on schedule, and collaborating with management and engineering teams to implement plans. This person directs vendors and contractors on layout planning and utility requirements, reviews consultant work and suggests changes as needed, and maintains documentation including manuals, drawings, specifications, and vendor contacts. The role involves conducting planning and operational reviews during pre-project phases, defining project scope, preparing proposals, and evaluating bids. This person submits regular status reports to management, assists with contract administration, prepares project documents, monitors installations to ensure they meet specifications, budgets, and timelines, and manages project budgets to meet financial targets. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university in Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field, plus 5 or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to apply sound engineering principles to operational and design issuesKnowledge of installation and construction project schedulingProject management skills, contract administration skills, and the ability to interpret national codes and standardsProficiency in engineering economicsProficiency in AutoCADProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong written and oral communication, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptabilityAbility to travel to other locations approximately 50% of the time Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of engineering principles and techniques related to food processing and the meat industryPrevious experience managing multi million dollar projects with large scopes Compensation And Benefits BonusMedical, dental, and vision insurance401k planPaid time off To apply, submit your resume for consideration.
