Duties, Responsibilities & Other
- Lead structural design and analysis for a variety of new building projects, including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
- Perform condition assessments, investigations, and develop rehabilitation solutions for existing buildings.
- Serve as a project engineer and task lead, managing scope, schedule, and budget for structural deliverables.
- Develop and oversee construction document production using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Cook up with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
- Perform and oversee QA/QC reviews to ensure technical accuracy and code compliance for calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications.
- Participate in client meetings, proposals, and business development efforts.
- Support projects through construction administration, including site visits and field observations.
- Plan workloads and manage structural task budgets and schedules.
- Maintain and build strong client relationships.
Qualifications
- Education and/or Work Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering, including fieldwork and client interaction (buildings-focused preferred).
- Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring engineering projects.
- Proven experience as a technical lead on projects, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Education and/or Work Experience Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Certificates, Licenses, And/or Registrations Required:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
