Senior Project Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Prepare RFI’s and submittals
• Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
• Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
• Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
• Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program
• Afford assistance in other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements

• Must have at least 4-7 years’ experience managing construction projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
• Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they’re learned
• Show strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities
• Be able to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently
• Work motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
• Work well under pressure and deadlines
• Show critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline
• Experience with different scopes of construction preferred
• Experience managing specialty scopes of construction
• OSHA certification
• Local to Houston area
• Willing to travel or relocate based on project needs
