About the role
Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer for its PCI Columbus 582 operations based in Dublin, OH.
Responsibilities
- Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
- Prepare RFI’s and submittals
- Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
- Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
- Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
- Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program
- Afford other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must have at least 4-7 years’ experience managing construction projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
- Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Able to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they’re learned
- Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities
- Able to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently
- Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
- Works well under pressure and deadlines
- Able to think critically and solve problems
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline
- Experience with metal stud framing and drywall, acoustical ceilings, exterior systems and cladding preferred
- Experience managing specialty scopes of construction
- OSHA certification
