Senior Project Engineer
About the role
Plans, designs, and coordinates complex construction, rehabilitation, and/or alteration of railway signal systems. Coordinates the activities of assigned project staff and/or contractors in the design, development, and implementation of complex engineering projects. Recommends standards and criteria for design and construction for complex engineering projects. Develops designs, proposals, schedules, and cost estimates for assigned projects. Evaluates progress and results of engineering activity and recommends changes in procedures of assigned projects. Maintains liaison with individuals and units (internally and externally) to facilitate the completion of assigned projects. Estimates human and other resources needs and schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications. Must be able to prepare CAD drawings using MicroStation.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate Degree in electrical engineering and three years of applied engineering experience, to include project management experience.
- Six years of appropriate experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
