About the role

A Senior Project Controls Engineer position is available to support a growing data center project portfolio based in Ohio. This is a key role within the project team, working closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective planning and delivery across the full lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed CPM schedules using Primavera P6
  • Review drawings, specs, and contract documents to build accurate baseline schedules
  • Maintain regular updates and ensure all progress is captured correctly
  • Produce clear schedule reports and narratives highlighting key risks and changes
  • Review contractor schedules and provide recommendations
  • Identify and monitor critical path activities
  • Highlight risks, delays, and work with teams on mitigation strategies
  • Carry out site visits to validate progress when required
  • Present reporting to internal teams and clients
  • Support performance tracking and project decision-making
  • Contribute to project controls processes, KPIs, and reporting standards
  • Support cost and resource tracking where needed
  • Maintain strong communication across all stakeholders

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in project controls / construction scheduling
  • Minimum 2 years on data center or mission critical projects
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong Primavera P6 experience
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and contracts
  • Good understanding of construction sequencing and delivery
  • Experience building and managing schedules on complex projects
  • Exposure to cost/resource tracking is a plus
  • Strong understanding of planning-related contractual requirements
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable in fast-paced project environments
  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP desirable
  • Willing to be on-site full-time as part of the project team
