About the role

We are seeking a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services for our client's data center practice. This position involves working with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules and project control systems throughout a project's life cycle. This role offers significant growth opportunities within the project team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor construction CPM schedules.
  • Review project documents and specifications to create baseline schedules that include all required dates, activities, and milestones.
  • Perform progress schedule updates, including comprehensive reporting and narratives.
  • Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.
  • Perform critical path analyses, identify schedule-related problems, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages for the project site team.
  • Review contractor’s progress and present findings to management for decision-making.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
  • Manage and report on cost and resources.
  • Identify and evaluate risk and impacts within project schedules.
  • Communicate project status and challenges effectively to project teams, clients, owners, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
  • Two or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field (may be waived with five or more years of direct, vertical construction industry experience).
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.
  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
  • Experience developing construction project schedules for data center projects.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting.
  • Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) preferred.

This role requires being full-time on-site.

Pay

$95,000 – $180,000 USD per year (New Albany, OH).
