About the role

Provide comprehensive cost, schedule, baseline, and EVMS Project Controls services on assigned SRNS Project Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Execute process responsibilities for organization, development, analysis, implementation, and maintenance of program/project controls applications and measures necessary for decision-making and monitoring of planning, scheduling, cost engineering, and trend engineering objectives.
  • Prepare schedules and performance monitoring status and management reports that identify variances in work execution strategy, provide timely feedback, and recommend solutions to management to improve or mitigate problems affecting cost, schedule, or estimating issues throughout the life cycle of a project, program, or other work activity.
  • Provide Project Controls services using SRNS processes and procedures with programmatic guidance from SRNS.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in business, construction management, technical, engineering, or a related area and five years of practical experience in project controls (cost and schedule control or related areas); or
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, technical, engineering, or a related area and seven years of practical experience in project controls (cost and schedule control or related areas); or
  • Associate’s degree in business, construction management, technical, engineering, or a related area and eleven years of practical experience in project controls (cost and schedule control or related areas); or
  • High school diploma and fifteen years of practical experience in project controls (cost and schedule control or related areas).

Skills

  • Proficient ability and knowledge in the development of cost and schedule baselines, milestone schedules, work breakdown structures, spend-out plans to establish optimum conditions and effective utilization of resources and facilities (equipment, manpower, and funding).
  • Strong knowledge of DOE 413 and Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software and cost processing software (Cobra preferred).
  • Ability to use Acumen Fuse, PeopleSoft, and Oracle’s OBIEE is desirable.
  • Advanced functions and features of the Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Strong problem-solving, analysis, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to walk down and interface with personnel and systems in the field when required.

Work Environment
