Description of Responsibilities
- Maintains financial records & ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Executes and oversees end-to-end billing setup, project creation, and maintenance within Deltek Costpoint.
- Reviews and accurately inputs contract modifications in Costpoint, adjusting funding ceilings, periods of performance, and contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP).
- Builds out Project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS). Assigns appropriate project and task codes to employee timesheets to ensure precise labor capture and compliance.
- Collaborates closely with Operations, Project Managers, and Contracts teams to analyze and resolve complex billing variances, unbilled receivables, and contract funding issues.
- Aids the Finance team with tracking, updating, and compiling data for the annual DCAA Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS) and indirect rate applications.
- Generates, reviews, and submits complex government invoices through WAWF/PIEE in strict compliance with FAR, DFARS, and DCAA guidelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience in project billing, contract administration, or project accounting within the Government Contracting (GovCon) sector.
- Advanced hands-on proficiency with Deltek Costpoint specifically the Billing and Project modules.
- Deep understanding of various government contract types, including Cost-Plus (CPFF), Time & Materials (T&M), and Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP).
- Working knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), FAR clauses, and DCAA compliance requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of successfully collaborating with operational teams to solve financial bottlenecks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field (desirable).
- Experience navigating WAWF/PIEE government invoicing portals (desirable).
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables, Sumifs) for data reconciliation (desirable).
