About the role
Senior Project Architect within a Healthcare Architecture Practice, based in Charlotte, Raleigh, or Atlanta.
Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, perform layout and detailing of architectural projects
- Coordinate work across project phases, ensuring schedule adherence
- Establish client and internal meetings, participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance
- Conduct on-site work sessions with Project Managers and other disciplines
- Review architectural documents for conflicts and perform QA/QC and technical reviews
- Develop and edit architectural specifications
- Assist with addenda, RFIs, CPRs, change orders, and incorporate changes into documents
- Manage project aspects as needed, including construction contract administration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field; Master’s preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience; Licensed Architect
- Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office, and graphic presentation tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max, Rhino, Grasshopper)
- Experience in healthcare, educational, civic, or research facilities; interest in sustainable design/LEED is a plus
- Strong knowledge of codes, good planning, and contract document preparation
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Ability to lead projects and participate actively in an inclusive, employee-owned culture
