This Project Architect role leads the design and delivery of complex architectural projects, with a strong focus on new building work and construction administration. The position requires deep experience with the School Construction Authority (SCA), advanced proficiency in Revit and related tools, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams through all project phases, from concept design to construction closeout.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery process for multiple projects, providing clear direction and guidance to the full design team and the client team.
- Manage multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination to keep schedules, budgets, and deliverables on track.
- Resolve complex technical and design issues in collaboration with the team to produce innovative, buildable, and code-compliant solutions.
- Direct the production of drawings, specifications, and other construction documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Oversee construction administration activities, including site-related coordination and documentation during the construction phase.
- Take responsibility for the oversight and timely delivery of all project documents across all phases.
- Facilitate the process for submittals and substitution requests during construction, ensuring thorough review and documentation.
- Address requests for information (RFIs) promptly and coordinate responses with the project team and consultants.
- Interface with building and permitting officials during permitting and construction to support approvals and resolve compliance issues.
- Manage client expectations and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and reliable follow-through.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of consultants to ensure alignment with project goals, technical requirements, and schedule.
- Apply knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure that all work aligns with the firm’s mission of improving lives through design and reflects its core values.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
- At least 15 years of professional experience in architecture.
- Experience working with the School Construction Authority (SCA).
- Significant experience with new building projects and construction administration.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques.
- Proven experience in construction document preparation across all phases.
- Proficiency in Revit for design, documentation, and coordination.
- Experience using Bluebeam for document review and markup.
- Experience using AutoCAD for drafting and documentation.
- Experience with 3D modeling software for design and visualization.
- Registered Architect license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Architecture.

- Experience coordinating with multiple consultants and stakeholders on complex projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

Work Environment
- This role operates in a hybrid work environment, with three days in the office and two days working remotely each week.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year.
