About the role

Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) is searching for a Senior Programmer Analyst to lead data quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, organizing, and administering information systems, with a focus on data architecture and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and modify technical specifications for the Health Plan.
  • Cook up and analyze new system implementations and modifications to existing systems.
  • Determine computerized solutions that ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and our strategic plan.
  • Appraise the effectiveness of systems flow, data usage, and both manual and automated processes to identify inefficiencies.
  • Implement and control system configuration and development.
  • Administer program and system tests.
  • Develop comprehensive system-documentation.
  • Cook up and share information with managers, Information Services personnel, users, and vendors.
  • Participate in strategic planning and TCH-wide data planning.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED in computer science or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience in major system design and implementation.
  • Project management or project leadership experience is preferred.
  • Strong RDBMS SQL experience, minimum 6-8 years.
  • Experience in implementing Data Warehouses.
  • Somewhat managed care systems experience preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree will substitute for 4 years of experience.
  • Highly preferred: Experienced development with Azure Fabric Synapse Azure SQL. Familiarity with Snowflake.
