Senior Programmer/Analyst
About the role
Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) is searching for a Senior Programmer Analyst to lead data quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, organizing, and administering information systems, with a focus on data architecture and quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and modify technical specifications for the Health Plan.
- Cook up and analyze new system implementations and modifications to existing systems.
- Determine computerized solutions that ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and our strategic plan.
- Appraise the effectiveness of systems flow, data usage, and both manual and automated processes to identify inefficiencies.
- Implement and control system configuration and development.
- Administer program and system tests.
- Develop comprehensive system-documentation.
- Cook up and share information with managers, Information Services personnel, users, and vendors.
- Participate in strategic planning and TCH-wide data planning.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED in computer science or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in major system design and implementation.
- Project management or project leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong RDBMS SQL experience, minimum 6-8 years.
- Experience in implementing Data Warehouses.
- Somewhat managed care systems experience preferred.
- A bachelor's degree will substitute for 4 years of experience.
- Highly preferred: Experienced development with Azure Fabric Synapse Azure SQL. Familiarity with Snowflake.
