Senior Program Specialist-SCC Recycling Education (SCICON)

About The Role

CSET's Sequoia Community Corps is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide recycling education outreach to students attending the Clemmie Gill School of Science and Conservation (SCICON). The right candidate will be able to work in a high-functioning environment with a diverse population. The Recycling Education team is responsible for providing recycling education presentations to school-aged children and community members. The team also attends community events and performs a variety of other duties related to recycling.

Scope of Work

The purpose of this position is to provide community members with recycling education. The incumbent of this position is responsible for recruiting potential customers, providing outreach in communities, and developing Corpmembers in our training program.

  • Knowledge of community action, recycling, workforce development, and youth development programs
  • Proficient as a trainer and teacher of work habits and skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with employers, co-workers, members of other agencies, and the general public
  • Work with Corpmembers in a calm, professional, friendly, and patient manner
  • Knowledgeable in modern office procedures and methods; proficient in the use of computers, Windows operating system, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Access), and program database
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in written form

Pay Range

$21.36 – $22.11 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
