Senior Program Manager - Robotics Deployment and Experimentation, RME New Technology Integration

About the role

As the Senior Deployment and Experimentation Lead of New Technology Introduction, you will be the primary point of contact for internal customers and partners. You will engage customers to understand and document business requirements, drive problem solutions, and manage implementation programs. Balancing business needs with technical constraints, you will find the right solution for each customer while maintaining a strong focus on standards, scalability, and supportability. You will implement technical approaches, direct cross-functional efforts to meet ambitious timelines, and strategically drive continuous improvement. This role requires frequent travel (50-75%) to various Fulfillment Center locations in Europe, with additional international travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational relationships with support teams and internal operations business partners to drive increases to Robotic asset performance.
• Identify business risks and needs of new products to successfully stand up a maintenance program.
• Demonstrate analytical and quantitative skills, using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
• Effectively interact and collaborate with customers, project sponsors, technical program managers, and multiple internal teams to define and deliver complex solutions.
• Proactively recognize and drive opportunities to simplify processes.
• Contribute to and influence technical designs.
• Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
• Lead the effective and efficient delivery of large, complex technical projects and programs.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs with technical constraints.
• Identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
• Create, maintain, and disseminate program information to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
• 5+ years of product or program management experience, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
• Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma, and other operations engineering tools.
• Experience working directly with engineering teams.
• Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design.
• Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics.
• Experience developing and testing mechanical robotics equipment.

The RME NTI team manages the introduction of new equipment into the maintenance engineering teams' portfolio. We aim to improve the reliability and maintainability of new equipment being introduced into our fulfillment network.

Pay

The base salary range for this position varies by location:

• USA, MA, Boston: $119,600.00 - $161,700.00 USD annually
• USA, TN, Nashville: $107,600.00 - $145,600.00 USD annually
• USA, TX, Austin: $119,600.00 - $161,700.00 USD annually

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
