About the role

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres.

The Data Center Market Development (DCMD) team ensures everything our users see online is supported by the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. The AI and Infrastructure team redefines what’s possible by delivering AI and infrastructure at unparalleled scale, efficiency, reliability, and velocity. We empower Google customers—Googlers, Google Cloud customers, and billions of users worldwide—with breakthrough capabilities and insights.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end program lifecycle by defining the vision, goals, schedules, and resource requirements to support the data center development strategy.
  • Establish governance frameworks and standardized processes for external partner onboarding and tracking, alongside forging C-level relationships.
  • Act as the central strategic hub bridging external partners with internal cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Public Policy, Energy, and Legal, proactively aligning conflicting priorities and resolving bottlenecks with diplomacy.
  • Prepare executive briefs, talking points, and strategy decks for internal leadership engagements, and represent Google externally as a thought leader in industry forums to shape digital infrastructure while proactively addressing market trends and risks.
  • Develop KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to measure the quantitative and qualitative impact of engagements, routinely conducting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and synthesizing progress into compelling reports for executive leadership and partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 8 years of experience in partnerships, market development, public policy, or government affairs, with a focus on infrastructure, water, sustainability, or technology sectors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects between external partners and internal teams.
  • Experience defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and building reporting dashboards to translate program metrics into actionable executive insights.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-year infrastructure programs, particularly within data center development, energy, or large-scale technical environments.
  • Experience designing partnership governance frameworks and standardized processes for external partner onboarding.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills, with experience developing strategy decks and preparing leadership briefs.
