About the role
The Senior Program Manager will foster and maintain strategic, long-term partnerships with select key clients by ensuring continued successful execution to meet their clinical and commercial needs. This individual collaborates closely with the Commercial Key Account Manager and serves as the primary point of contact for management of already established contracts and project/program execution. This fully remote role is part of the Program Management Team for the mRNA business, reporting to the Vice President and General Manager located in Fargo, ND.
Responsibilities
- Lead highly complex, multi-program portfolios across strategic accounts, owning end-to-end delivery across multiple concurrent projects with significant revenue, risk, and cross-functional dependencies, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and KPIs.
- Cultivate strategic client relationships by acting as a trusted advisor to senior-level client stakeholders, navigating escalations, and shaping program direction and long-term partnership outcomes.
- Drive enterprise-wide alignment and decision-making, leading cross-functional teams through ambiguity, resolving competing priorities, and influencing outcomes across functions and leadership levels.
- Ensure operational excellence and governance by establishing and maintaining program governance structures, tracking project metrics, forecasting capacity, and providing regular updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, and opportunities.
- Support business growth and continuous improvement by overseeing overall program health, capacity strategy, forecasting demand, identifying risks, leading proposals and renewals, and influencing account expansion and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- B.S. or B.A. required; advanced degree in a scientific field strongly preferred (e.g., molecular biology, biology, biotechnology, biochemistry).
- 7+ years of experience in a client-facing role as a project, program, or account manager within the life sciences, with preference for 5+ years in a CDMO environment.
- Experience managing programs and contracts in a regulated biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device-related field.
- Strong understanding of Drug Product mRNA/LNP and industry; preference for late-phase/commercial drug product experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to forecast risks and implement sustainable solutions.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Pay
The annual salary range for this role is $150,000 - $170,000.
