Senior Program Manager - Medical Device & Combination Products

Drive high-impact commercialization projects with a premier global biopharmaceutical leader in North Chicago, IL. This 1-year contract role operates on a hybrid schedule (Tue-Thu onsite; Mon/Fri remote).

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional global teams to manage New Product Introductions (NPI) programs, technical transfers, and commercial launches for medical devices and combination products.
• Develop, monitor, and execute comprehensive project implementation plans across R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory.
• Utilize Microsoft Project to establish realistic timetables, manage budgets, track milestones, and mitigate project risks.
• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory design controls, ISO standards, and quality management requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Facilitate conflict resolution, align cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver regular performance updates to executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of diversified business experience in operations, quality, supply chain, or product launches within regulated industries.
• 5+ years of dedicated experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or combination products sectors.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Project and advanced project management tools.
• Comprehensive knowledge of design controls for medical devices and combination products.
• Strong leadership, conflict management, and cross-functional communication skills.

Qualifications

• Preferred: PMI certification (PMP), Advanced Business Degree (MBA), or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
