Senior Program Manager I

About the role

SRC, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to serve as the lead logistics, sustainment, transportation, and property management advisor supporting rapid acquisition and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs under the Air Force's Big Safari organization at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. This mission-focused position supports the rapid integration, fielding, sustainment, and lifecycle management of specialized ISR, EW, mobility, and special mission capabilities delivered to U.S. allies and partner nations. The role involves close collaboration with Program Managers, engineers, logisticians, and international stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and full supportability of critical capabilities throughout their operational life.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operational capability requirements between user and contractor, determine solutions, and translate them into contractual language
• Prepare and coordinate contract Statements of Work and Contract Data Requirements Lists with Program Office, Government Contract Officers, Legal, and the contractor
• Review contractor Contract Data Requirements Lists submittals for completeness and accuracy per contract requirements
• Perform review of contractor proposed technical solutions for aircraft improvements
• Perform technical evaluations of contractor proposals for both Air Force program management personnel and Government Contracting Officers
• Advise Program Managers on maintenance, supply support, configuration, and technical issues
• Coordinate Contractor Logistics Support Performance Plan
• Coordinate between Government Contracting Officer, Government Quality Assurance Evaluators and contractor on evaluation results of contractor maintenance performance and assist with implementation of corrective actions
• Assist with developing acquisition strategy, project schedules, program plans, financial plans and other time-sensitive documentation
• Oversee test procedures for system integration and developmental test and evaluation for new system installs
• Assist with resolving technical problems associated with the integration of new capabilities
• Coordinate sustainment requirements for system upgrades and system improvements
• Evaluate contractor generated technical data, technical manuals, and engineering changes
• Provide technical and management oversight during the development, integration, and flight test phases of newly installed systems
• Coordinate aircraft schedules and requirements with aircraft using and owning commands
• Coordinate financial status with Program Manager and 645 AESG budget offices
• Assist with preparation of program briefings on acquisition, financial, and technical improvement projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting Department of Defense acquisition, logistics, or sustainment programs
• An active TS/SCI clearance
• At least 3 years of experience supporting U.S. Air Force acquisition organizations, preferably within rapid acquisition or special mission programs
• At least 5 years of demonstrated experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) logistics and sustainment activities
• Strong knowledge of Integrated Product Support (IPS), lifecycle logistics, provisioning, supply chain management, and logistics planning
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while supporting fast-paced acquisition schedules
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ways to Stand Out

• Experience supporting Big Safari or other rapid acquisition organizations
• Knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition reform initiatives with emphasis on Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations
• Familiarity with DoD 5000 series acquisition regulations
• Experience with Security Cooperation programs and international partner support
• A proven record in problem solving, decision making, financial management, logistics management, program and production management abilities
• Knowledge of weapon systems modifications and fielding activities

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Dayton, OH is $136,000 to $160,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
